APPLICATIONS

The Permagraph process has been carried out with great success on conveyor systems operating in paint and powder-coating ovens, on kiln truck wheel bearings and on ingot conveyor bearings operating in temperatures in excess of 350°C.

The ability to withstand high temperature is used in the Steel Industry where Permagraphed bearings are used on Continuous Casting plants in very close proximity to steel at 1200°C.

Acetone is used in spinning of man made fiber and excessively reduces the life of conventionally lubricated bearings, Permagraph protects the bearing whilst providing lubrication.

Permagraph is used on the suspension link pins of rail cars carrying molten iron. The weight of the unit being 550 tons over 12 axles.

Permagraph has also been applied to all types of roller link chain and is of particular interest to the food and textile industries since the lubricant coating is dry (and thus does not attract dust, lint or abrasive particles) and is non-toxic and chemically inert.  In addition the treatment gives considerable protection against rust and corrosion.

Roller chain treated with the Permagraph process has been shown to be of considerable benefit in coal fired Power Stations.  Soot Blower chain, operating in high temperatures and steam, has been treated and has run unattended for extensive periods of time, considerably reducing the maintenance requirement, with no ill effect.

Permagraph can be applied to any ferrous metal and will show benefit in any of the following condition

·        High Temperature

·        High Humidity

·        High Pressure

·        Vacuum

·        Dusty Environment

·        Low Temperature

·        Contaminated Environment
